• Who am I?
I’m a former reading and writing teacher who pivoted exclusively to personal training and teaching martial arts during the pandemic. That was the time my first son was born, so, between the worldwide health crisis and my pervasive passion for training, I reoriented my life around the health and wellbeing of my family and the people I work with.
• Why personal training?
You deserve to be healthy and happy in your body. Period. If you haven’t been able make that happen on your own, or just want some more advanced skills, hiring a personal trainer is the most time and cost-efficient way to do it.
• Why hire me as your personal trainer?
I work with people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and strengths. From tumbling skills with 5 year olds to strength training and heavy bag work with 70 year-old organ transplant recipents. I love people in general and love it more when I can give them the knowledge and skills to drive their own fitness to the highest it’s ever been.
• Why martial arts and self defense?
The first reason I have for training martial arts is that it’s fun. But that’s a REALLY good reason to do it. The fact that you also learn how to defend yourself and even get really good at fighting is cool too.
• Why hire me as your martial arts coach?
I am an accomplished coach and martial artist who has been training and competing in various combat sports for 25 years. I have learned how to stay fit enough to fight while living and loving my life, and my goal is to give that to you as well. While my clients may say mean things to me during our sessions, not one of them would doubt that I make fitness “fun”.
